Next project subsidized by MNiSW performed at ŁTN im. Wagów in Łomża
During 2018-2020 a team under the direction of Dr Małgorzata K. Frąckiewicz, operating at ŁTN as a Laboratory of surveys over the cultural heritage of Masovia and Podlasie, will exercise investigative project titled „Knowledge and memory: a heritage of historical Łomża Land in sources (XV-XX centuries). Identity of people and places – 600 years of Łomża city rights: a castle of the Łomża Land (XIV-XVIII centuries), a capital of the department (1807-1815) and governorate (1867-1918)”.
One of the goals of the planned during the project works is to create an extensive:
A personal-local-historical catalogue of the historical Łomża Land
and Masovia-Podlasie borderland
People interested in looking for their own roots, documenting family history, historians, genealogists and enthusiasts of history of the Łomża Land are invited to use our library and a rich source database and to cooperate, especially by elaborating information about illustrious representatives of Łomża kins and families, whose biographies will be placed in the catalogue which will be edited.
